After really focusing on finding a very good template that fits the theme of this blog, I finally found one that also features a 2 column layout in the sidebar.
I never like the 1 column sidebar since the options are pretty limited when it comes to putting something in there. With a 2 column layout however, I have more flexibility on where I want to put content in the sidebar.
I like the scrapbook WordPress theme for that fact and also because it looks clean and refreshing. Simple, yet elegant and soothing to the eyes.
This WordPress theme will be permanent, starting 2014 and onwards. I hope you all like it.
After more than a year of waiting, my blog got its pagerank back again at 3. I hope advertisers will start reaching out to me again. It has been a long drought but I am happy that this blog’s ranking is back to normal again.
So what did I do? Well … I just kept on blogging and hoped for the best ha ha. Last year was really a bad year for bloggers because there was only one major update and that happened in April. After that, everyone had to endure the long wait, wondering month after month if there would be a major update happening.
Early this year, people were happy to find out their pagerank had changes. I was not since nothing happened. This month though was different after seeing a little green in the Google pagerank toolbar. 1, 2 or 3 it does not matter as long as there is a little green.
If you had been to my blog the past 3 days, you may be surprised with yet another template change. It was because the woman butterfly wordpress theme had some bugs when displaying posts page by page. Even when I set the maximum posts to be displayed per page at 3, it kept displaying 5.
If I go to page 2, the same posts get displayed. Even though my husband knows PHP, he never had any luck overriding the code (techie phrase from him) to ensure that only 3 posts will be displayed per page. I really loved that theme. Even the search results messed up.
So I had no choice but to look for another template but I did some tests before activating it like making sure the posts that are displayed per page are correct and the search also shows results correctly. So I will be sticking with this template from now on. It may not be too girly but the template portray itself as some sort of diary for a professional woman like me 😉 hihihi.
I just became a freelance agent for an insurance company while still continuing part time modeling jobs if there are any. I am not getting younger so some freelance work apart from blogging to help my husband with his paid post stuffs will help us financially.
